Microsoft Azure offers high availability, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability with provisions in place to reduce latency, provide geo-redundancy, and increase server resiliency. Azure uses industry-standard protocols to encrypt data in transit as it travels between devices and Microsoft datacenters and moves within datacenters, as well as data at rest in Azure Storage. This includes multiple capabilities for protecting data in transit and at rest, including encryption for data, files, applications, services, communications, and drives. Azure supports and uses numerous encryption mechanisms, including SSL/TLS, IPsec, and AES. Azure’s multipronged threat-management approach uses intrusion detection, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack prevention, penetration testing, behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, and machine learning to constantly strengthen its defense and reduce risks.
Microsoft Azure uses a specialized operating system, called Microsoft Azure, to run its "fabric layer,” a cluster hosted at Microsoft's data centers that manages computing and storage resources of the computers and provisions the resources (or a subset of them) to applications running on top of Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Azure has been described as a "cloud layer" on top of a number of Windows Server systems, which use Windows Server 2008 and a customized version of Hyper-V, known as the Microsoft Azure Hypervisor to provide virtualization of services.
Security is extremely important to Endeavor and we do our utmost to protect your data and secure it from intrusions in our state-of-the-art Azure cloud. Data transfer is always done over an HTTPS connection, encrypting the data using an SSL certificate. The connection to our server and our database is also restricted - only whitelisted IP addresses are granted access. In addition, Endeavor employs OAuth to authenticate and grant access to the CPQ application and API.
EndeavorCPQ improves data reliability through servers that automatically backup data. The backups are encrypted, protecting against falling into the wrong hands. All data transfers are encrypted both on the fly and at rest over a secure connection, ensuring maximum protection for your business critical data and services.
